Overview

The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding our client pipeline. This role is a front-end lead generation and relationship development position, focused on identifying, qualifying, and advancing prospective clients and referral partners.

The ideal candidate is a disciplined, consultative sales professional who understands professional services, is comfortable engaging senior-level decision-makers, and can communicate value without overselling or aggressive tactics.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage prospective clients through outbound outreach, inbound inquiries, networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads across target industries and client profiles
  • Conduct initial discovery conversations to assess fit, needs, and potential engagement scope
  • Schedule and coordinate introductory and follow-up meetings with internal subject-matter experts
  • Manage prospects through the early stages of the sales process, from first contact through qualification and hand off
  • Collaborate closely with technical consultants and leadership to ensure accurate positioning and smooth transitions
  • Maintain accurate records of activity, pipeline status, and forecasts in the CRM system

Education and Experience:

  • 1+ year of business development, sales, or lead-generation experience in professional services (tax, accounting, consulting, legal, financial services, or similar)
  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree preferred
  • CRM Experience Preferred
