Craig has a passion for building successful organizations that help other businesses achieve success in their own rights. When he is not helping others flourish professionally, he enjoys supporting his Indiana Hoosiers, where he earned his BBA in Accounting and Finance, and Arizona Wildcats where he earned his JD. Craig and his family love spending time by the ocean and are constantly in search of the world's best beaches.

Davis is among the nation’s foremost tax controversy attorneys in the areas of R&D and Section 179D incentives. A frequent speaker on tax controversy matters, Davis has built a distinguished reputation for successfully resolving complex disputes with the IRS and state taxing authorities, consistently achieving optimal outcomes for his clients. Davis and his teams have successfully defended over $100 million in R&D and 179D benefits in his career.

Before becoming a litigation attorney, Davis was an Eagle Scout. From this experience Davis gained an early value for ethical behavior that paved the way for his passion for ethical practice in law and tax. Through the years, many prominent consulting firms in the tax incentives space have turned to Davis on issues of technical compliance and ethical practice. In his spare time, Davis values time with his young family, contributing to his favorite non-profit causes, and finding opportunities in everyday life to support those around him. 

Matt is a seasoned CPA with more than 25 years of experience in both public accounting and corporate finance. Having worked with some of the largest CPA firms and international companies in the world, Matt offers unmatched expertise in specialty tax incentives. His deep technical knowledge provides our CPA partners with confidence that their clients are receiving the highest standard of professional care. 

When he is not helping 1st Avenue Advisors CPA partners and their clients, Matt serves on the executive board and is the current president of the Boosters Club at his sons' high school along with being a mentor in the Teen Philanthropy Network.  He enjoys sharing in his sons' hobbies including lacrosse, football, and sports card collecting.  When not working, you will find him outside at a game, on the golf course, in the garden, with a fishing pole on the lake, or just generally enjoying being outdoors.
